We live in Provence and would not live anywhere else... We like the southern habits, the accent, the culinary traditions, the climate, the cultural heritage, the old villages and the soul of their old buildings... We live in an old farmhouse. With many imperfections but just as much history and charm. This is what we like most!
I am lucky enough to inherit my grandmother's beautiful mansion, in the neighboring village, and the idea of sharing this habitat and its environment with travelers seemed completely natural to me... I love and collect paintings by the little Provençal masters. My grandmother painted. She had some of these masters as teachers. His works come back to me and naturally find their place on the walls of his house. I was his first admirer.
My parents own a contemporary art gallery in Avignon. We love it. We like to mix styles. Ancient/modern, painting/sculpture... Flea markets are also a hobby that my husband and I share. Sport is an integral part of our lives. Swimming, running but also mountain biking. The scrubland offers us endless paths, right at the door of the house...
My husband does theater as an amateur, he joined an Avignon troupe and plays in a play. To his great regret, he only participated in the Avignon festival as a spectator because his job did not allow him to play in the summer.
Of course music attracts me. All styles, but increasingly classical music. Opera especially.
The proximity of the city of Orange and its Chorégies in the summer period is a real opportunity for me.
We love going to restaurants and are willing to drive a lot of miles for some of them. But we are also very satisfied with some little gems of Avignon restaurants!
As a host and also a neighbor, I undertake to be available for anything that could improve your stay in this mansion. Our centers of interest and the natural wealth of our region will of course also be at your service if necessary...
